Sunday Blue

It's Sunday again! We always wonder why the weeks pass this quick.
Sunday is usually "Tumble tots" at 10.30 AM for Derrick & Speech Therapy at "Citris" at 2 PM for Darren. But today is still "Hari Raya Aidilfitri", so no class for Derrick and the speech therapy is cancelled for personal reason by the therapist. And the worst part is Darren likes the class and he likes his routine, so no class means bawling, kicking & head knocking for him the whole day. So we decided to bring him on a car ride, and had to cancel a dinner with family friends. He likes car ride a lot where he can see the cars coming at the opposite side of the highways, and the bushes running along the highways. I guess he just wanna go out because our flat is just too small for him to run around.

I wanted to try taking him off his vitamins for last week, and it proofed me silly. He had difficulty sleeping and had been crying the whole week. If you wonder what kind of treatment we are getting for Darren, I can share it with you. He is currently on "Early intervention" program at Fei Yue Community Service on Mon, Wed & Fri; and for Tue & Thu he is at PCS Jurong West for one- to-one intervention program. Once a week Occupational therapy at Fei Yue & we are planning to start him on OT & Sound therapy at Sanjay's, still waiting for the slot being allocated to us. Once a week speech therapy at "Citris". I am a firm believer on "Bio-medical treatment", so he is on GFCF diet, Vitamin B12 injections twice a week, B6 & Magnesium twice a day, DMG & Folic acid thrice a day, Dr' Formula multi vitamins powder twice a day, & milk thistle twice a day. Well, he can't do without those! Last week was my nightmare!

I was reading on HBOT at autism forum, and I am just wondering if I can try Darren on this to correct his licking "stims". His licking has been so bad that he doesn't spare anything in the house. He licks anything & everything, TV, floor, wall, toys, window grilles, anything!
That's why he is having difficulty putting on weight, he is a tall lass, so every time he got runny stomach from those excessive licking he will lose weight again. I am really really concern about this! Still waiting for Dr. Yeo from "The Autism Clinic" to reply my email for this matter.
