These pics was taken during Yew Tee District "Baby Show 2007" in July. Derrick didn't win any prizes, but it's the experience and exposure for him that we are seeking. He is not qualified as they are looking for healthy baby. He has hypothyroidism, thus he is not qualified to be in the contest. Our heart feel a bit painful but this is the society like. It is always looking for perfection in everything, that's why we are worried about what future will hold for Darren.
When I 1st concieved Derrick, I was worried he will be autistic like Darren too. But knowing that he is okay till this stage, we can't say anything but thank God for it's kindness. We belive He has a purpose of giving Darren to us. At least we can give him all the treatments that he needs to make him better. I have been reading on the link of MMR vaccine with autism, and it scares me. Derrick has not been going to MMR, it's supposed to be injected to him when he was 13 months, but now that he is 18 mths i am still reluctant to let him go for it, maybe when he is 2 years old. It's better be safe than sorry.
Darren took his B12 shot today, and he seems to be taking it well this time, seems very happy, ran around the room, and kept laughing, but no temper tantrum, to my relief. He didn't sleep again this afternoon. So he was asleep at 9 PM just now. And he is sure to be awake at 5 AM tomorrow morning. another hard early day for me, haha.
While i was writing this, i heard familiar voice crying in the room. Darren is awake! gosh! I need to go now.
