Darren is on second day of probiotics. I can immediately see more focus on the 2nd day. He will look at human faces longer, and pay attention to the things that he never see before. I think the yeast infection was affecting him a lot. He cried a lot back then, i suspected it was because of stomach discomfort. He has not been crying for no reason for 2 days, which is good news to us the caregivers. I think probiotics helps with immune system too, remember i was saying he has flu and cough? He is better today, still having flu but no more runny nose and no coughing. He is back to school today, I can see that he enjoys his sessions at schools. He was smiling, and flapping his arms when we went out from the house to go to school just now. And on the way back from school, he was calm also, but very excited.
But he has another problem now. Can't sleep well. He wakes up every 1 to 2 hrs and refused to fall asleep again. And he will beat himself and scream on top of his lungs if he see i am the one who attended to him. But once he see Suranti, he will be quiet, but still refuse to sleep.
I am still reading up on articles about this sleeping problem. Dr. Yeo susped ted because his liver is working very hard at night thus making him awake, so he introduced milk thistle to us which will help with the liver function, but nothing changed. He is still awake several times every night. It has been tiring week for Suranti, because of lack of sleep. I can't imagine what i would be without her.
He was given a shot of B12 earlier, and he scream and talk more like usual, but still no proper speech. I am actually worried about this, but i am sure with age, he will be able to speak in the future. Yeah, let's hope for the best.
I am quite happy today, because Darren shows a bit of social skill. My husband's niece actually brought her 2 kids here this morning. Darren was excited upon seeing the younger boy. He wanted to greet him, but...uuhhmm he tried to poke his eyes & pushed him on his face instead. The boy was afraid of him now, whenever he sees darren is near he will cry for help. So I think Darren needs some social intervention. I have talked to his teacher at PCS JW about this, and she said start from next week, she will bring him out to the class for normal kids at the centre maybe for 1/2 hr, but she needs to get approval from the teacher of the class 1st.
Darren was awaken from his sleep a while ago, because of his cough. I went into the room, rubbed his back and told him not to cry, and guess what? he is asleep again now! This is really amazing! And one good news, the chelation liquid has arrived this evening. I will have to stop his supplements tomorrow and will collect his urine sample the next morning, to get the correct reading of the amount of heavy metals in his body. I want to see if the chelation liquid really work well, will have to purchased another set of the test kit again after he is on the liquid for a month.
